Mr. Bennett retired in 2018 after completing his five year term as First Vice President at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). In that role, he was responsible for all client relationship, investment, policy and business strategy issues and processes. Prior to EBRD, Mr. Bennett worked at Citigroup/Salomon Brothers in New York and London for 29 years where he held a variety of leadership positions in Global Capital Markets and Investment/Corporate Banking and had a particular focus on global emerging and frontier markets. Most recently, Mr. Bennett has been acting as an advisor to a start-up investment venture focused on private equity investments in EM financial services and as a Senior Advisor to Endeavor, the global entrepreneur accelerator network. Mr. Bennett is a graduate of the University of Chicago (M.B.A.), Princeton University (M.P.A.) and the University of North Carolina (B.A.).
