Karen Tsang-Hounsell oversees InfraCo Asia’s investments team across Southeast Asia and South Asia, to catalyze private sector investment into sustainable infrastructure projects. With 20 years experience in infrastructure investment, Karen has held roles spanning transaction advisory, business development, and fund, investment, and asset management. She has experience across numerous Asia-Pacific markets including Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, and Australia.

Karen is a strong advocate for the role of blended finance in addressing the energy transition and infrastructure financing gap in Asia, and regularly participates in industry conferences as a speaker and panelist. She commenced her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, followed by nearly a decade in infrastructure funds management where she supported the CEO of a $2 billion AUD listed infrastructure fund, and later developed new investment products in strategic partnership with a number of financial institutions across Asia.

Karen has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne, a Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is a CFA charter holder.
