Convergence recently hosted an Information Session and Member Consultation on the Scale Private Investment Mobilization Standardization Project.
The main objective of the project is to identify, in consultation with developing countries, developed countries, MDBs and DFIs, philanthropic foundations, and private sector investor groups, proven blended finance models that will lead to private investment mobilization at scale to low and middle-income countries to fund the SDGs. Once identified, the goal is to standardize and replicate these models and demonstrate how concessional funding can be awarded optimally to the best cases aligned to the models.
The 60-minute session included a presentation on the project, gathering initial feedback from members.
