This webinar featured the Refugee Development Impact Bond, which is a first-of-its-kind impact bond delivering vocational, entrepreneurship and employment training to both refugees of the Syria crisis and their host communities in Jordan. The Development Impact Bond (DIB) is implemented by Near East Foundation through a network of community hubs that provide livelihood services. The DIB is uniquely focused on supporting home-based businesses (micro-enterprises) founded and operated by women and youth.
During the hour-long webinar, the KOIS and Near East Foundation team provided an overview of the bond’s structuring process, fundraising journey and implementation. Convergence also conducted in-depth interviews with key stakeholders involved in the transaction, uncovering invaluable lessons and sharing learnings from the DIB. The webinar concluded with an open Q&A session.
