Recent estimates show adaptation costs are far higher than available international public finance, with private sector contributions remaining minimal. By 2030, adaptation costs could reach $300 billion annually, surpassing what public finance alone can cover.

In this context, UNDP and Convergence will jointly host an interactive workshop showcasing various stakeholders' perspectives on blended finance as an instrumental approach to address the complex challenges of scaling climate adaptation investments in the Asia Pacific region.

The workshop comprises of two parts: a keynote presentation and overview of blended finance and key insights on climate adaptation in Asia Pacific; followed by a hands-on case exercise on structuring a blended finance transaction targeting climate adaptation.

After the case exercise, participants will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded ecosystem partners in the region over snacks and drinks.
