The Asia-Pacific is a widely diverse grouping of countries with distinct cultural, political and environmental realities, facing the same threat of climate change. As increasingly severe weather patterns affect critical sectors such as agriculture, water, coastal farming and forestry, the most vulnerable bear the brunt.
In order to build resilience across the region, adaptation strategies need to be implemented. A challenge to the pivot from mitigation to adaptation is the pressing need for climate adaptation finance. This session explored this topic through the lens of blended finance by inviting the perspectives of conventional finance, social investors and innovators working on the ground.
