Convergence and the East Africa Venture Capital Association (EAVCA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on growing and developing the understanding, adoption, and application of blended finance in Africa.
Under this MoU, Convergence and EAVCA will collaborate through a strategic framework to expand blended finance knowledge and support the mobilization of private capital in the region. The organizations will participate in reciprocal speaking opportunities, cooperate on joint training programs, and collaborate on other related activities, such as conferences, roundtables, workshops, and more.

Blended finance plays a critical role in mobilizing private capital while ensuring the efficient use of public resources,” said Jacklyne Iminza, COO of EAVCA. “Our partnership with Convergence marks a key milestone in strengthening industry capacity, raising awareness, and accelerating the adoption of blended finance to support business growth in the region.”
