What We Do
Convergence works collaboratively with all types of stakeholders to make the UN Sustainable Development Goals investible through blended finance. As a non-profit organization designed to address the core challenges that hinder private investment in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs), Convergence advances the field of blended finance through four key pathways:
Guiding
We are guiding the field through thought leadership, data collection, generating insights and intelligence such as case studies, good practices, and trends in the sector. Our team also provides strategic donor advisory services to support public and philanthropic stakeholders allocate and implement blended finance programs and practices.
Educating
We are focused on collaboratively building capacity amongst the blended finance ecosystem through learning programs and customized capacity building, workshops, webinars and specialized trainings including online learning modules.
Connecting
We are building bridges between public, private, and philanthropic stakeholders by connecting our members and practitioners both in-person and on our platform to exchange blended finance knowledge, insights, and learnings. Our team regularly hosts networking events, peer learning opportunities and multi-stakeholder working groups to advance specific topics of discussion.
Mobilizing
We facilitate practitioners to mobilize private capital toward EMDEs by providing access to live blended finance deal flow and providing grants for, and sharing learnings from, the design of early stage financial structures.
